The Recreation Therapy Program Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Director of Therapy and Director of Behavioral Health to ensure seamless care coordination for our behavioral SNF and Rehab Units recreational therapy programs. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for development and implementation of recreational therapy programming to positively impact quality patient care while maintaining regulatory requirements around recreational therapy addition the Recreation Therapy Program Coordinator will serve as a Certified Recreational Therapist that is responsible for the delivery of services to patients within the Recreation Therapy Departments scope of service. As a Certified Recreational Therapist this role is responsible for assigned patients plan of care within the domain of Recreation Therapy. The Recreation Therapy Program Coordinator must maintain standards of a professional therapist and must be able to provide care as described in the departments policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited school in Therapeutic Recreation or similar program
Currently certified as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation specialist by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or eligible to obtain prior to starting date
BLS Certification
2 years experience as a Recreational Therapist
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in leadership role
