Roles and Responsibilities
Establish standard work for the Avionics Engineering Process Leader Position in accordance with FLIGHT DECK guidance.
Establish metrics to measure the on-going health of the Avionics Engineering Processes and their impact on the engineering process as represented in Key Performance Indicators.
Act as a representative for Avionics North America (ANA) Engineering process with internal and external auditors.
Responsible for maintaining/owning the top-level engineering process documents and ensuring alignment with global and corporate processes as well as industry standards.
Ensure Global and Avionics specific engineering processes are adequately defined documented and integrated into Avionics North America (ANA) Procedure 400.
Establish the process framework to maintain and curate the Avionics North America (ANA) engineering process artifact libraries ensuring their relevance and accessibility.
Oversee the change management of engineering process artifacts including the initiation of changes stakeholder engagement maintaining referenced links and strict adherence to CC1 change management requirements.
Lead the coordination communication and oversight of training related to changes or new introductions in engineering processes.
Actively participate in the decision-making process regarding the applicability of processes at a global versus Avionics North America (ANA) site level and deliver training on the adoption and application of these processes.
Address and resolve any issues related to engineering process compliance or their quality ensuring that engineering elements of the QMS withstand audits and inspections.
Identify and coordinate initiatives for the continuous improvement of Avionics North America (ANA) engineering processes.
Stay informed about Avionics North America (ANA) product areas development practices and the regulatory landscape to ensure the effective application of engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering Quality Management or related field with at least 6 years of experience in process management.
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.
Desired Characteristics
Avionics experience is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of engineering principles process management and change management practices.
Familiarity with AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning
Proven experience in engineering process management quality management systems or a similar role.
Excellent communication coordination and training skills.
Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across various levels and functions.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the engineering sector.
