About the Position
Our ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical exams to determine if the patient is suitable for outpatient surgery preparing patients for surgery creating a safe and effective environment as well as promoting health and well-being. This is a fast paced minimally invasive eye surgery role.
What do we look for
- Prepare patient for surgery
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient reviewing medical history taking vital signs confirming purpose of visit
- Complete physical exams to determine patient eligibility prior to outpatient surgery
- Educate patients as needed
- Complete records by recording patient examination treatment and test results
Qualifications:
- Licensed within the state of Florida to practice
- Availability Monday-Friday with a 7am start time
- Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail
- Must have knowledge of EHR Excel and Word documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to maintain discretion accuracy and confidentiality with all patients
- Must be able to frequently stand sit and walk
- Computer skills
