Job Summary
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will oversee accounting and financial reporting for the manufacturing operations with a strong focus on cost accounting inventory control and financial compliance. The role plays a key part in supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting cycle and general ledger
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Lead cost accounting including product costing variance analysis and cost control
- Monitor inventory valuation WIP and production-related costs
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards (OHADA)
- Coordinate audits tax filings and statutory reporting
- Supervise accounting team and improve internal controls
- Provide management with financial analysis and performance reports
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Professional certification (CPA ACCA or equivalent) is a plus
- Manufacturing experience including cost accounting is a strong plus
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience including a senior role
- Fluent in French (mandatory) and English
- Experience in Africa is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
