Compensation
Hourly Rate: $72.63
Weekly Gross Pay: $2723.63
Weekly Stipend: $1561.13
Position Summary
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting. This role blends general medical-surgical nursing with continuous cardiac monitoring for patients requiring close observation due to cardiac or complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and EKG rhythms identifying and responding to abnormalities.
Provide care for patients recovering from cardiac events or transitioning from or to higher levels of care (e.g. ICU).
Collaborate with physicians advanced practitioners and interdisciplinary care teams.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments medications and discharge plans.
Accurately document patient care assessments and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
Maintain compliance with patient safety infection control and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-appropriate or compact).
Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills.
Ability to work independently in a night-shift environment.
Excellent communication critical thinking and teamwork skills.
