Primary Purpose:
Assist the SACC program by providing flexible coverage positive guidance and quality supervision across multiple campuses. This position supports daily operations by stepping into various roles as needed to help ensure a safe engaging and smoothly run program.
Education / Certification:
- High School Diploma and three-years of equivalent experience/ Bachelors Degree preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
Special Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in use of technology and various applications
- Ability to speak clearly and articulately
- Knowledge of acceptable best practices in afterschool quality assurance
- Ability to implement policy and procedures
- Ability to research analyze and interpret data
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of professionalism
Experience / Other Requirements:
- At least three years of experience in a supervisory role
- Experience working in an educational environment is preferred
- Personal cell phone is required to handle district related business including after hours or when away from the office on district business
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Float between campuses to provide mentorship and
- Provide coverage for staff absences program needs or enrollment
- Step into various roles including Site Lead/Assistant aide or activity support to maintain program
- Support program-wide expectations for behavior safety and
- Provide guidance and modeling for new or less experienced staff when floating on their
- Demonstrate best practices in supervision engagement and behavior
- Offer support to site teams by sharing effective strategies and reinforcing program
- Model professionalism flexibility mentorship and a positive
Policy Reports and Law:
- Implement the policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policy as applicable
- Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documents as required
Professional Goals & Growth:
- Expand leadership skills and knowledge base through self-initiated professional development activities
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned
Health & Safety:
- Follow district procedures and best practices to safeguard the health and safety of children in the program which include but are not limited to hand washing sanitary measures playground safety rules rules regarding the use of supplies and equipment
- Become knowledgeable of the districts emergency procedures and ensure proper practices of procedures are conducted on a regular basis or as instructed by the districts safety team
