What You Will Be Doing:
In this position you will provide advanced-level casework to include investigation mediation and coordination of protective and statewide supportive services for vulnerable adults. This position serves a wide range of individuals who may suffer from a multitude of significant behavioral medical mental health and socio-economic conditions that occur throughout an adults life span.
This position requires frequent travel within the state of Alaska.

Mission and Values/Culture:
Senior and Disabilities Services mission is to promote the health well-being and safety of vulnerable adults and children. Adult Protective Services staff contribute to the divisions mission by working with individuals and providing them with a variety of available services helping them make informed decisions on those services while allowing them to care for themselves.

You will be serving vulnerable adults reported to be experiencing abuse neglect and/or exploitation and engaging with them their families and other professionals to investigate these allegations.

You will utilize a multitude of methods including face-to-face visits review of records and perform safety and risk assessments to determine the safety and well-being of the vulnerable adult.

You will be tasked to engage with the vulnerable populations to determine if they have decision-making capacity to meet their basic needs while minimizing physical psychological and social risks.

This position is located in Anchorage Alaska: East Anchorage next to East High School.
Work hours can be flexible within the general operating hours of the state.

Training and education in this guidance are used interchangeably to refer to the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction.
