Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room PRN III Denton - Day Shift

Work hours:Work hours: 7a - 7p - PRN III - 6 shifts per 6 weeks schedule 2 weekend shift per 6 weeks schedule 1 major and 2 minor Holiday shifts

Heres What You Need
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
- Current RN licensure upon hire
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS within 90 days of hire
- CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course 12 months required
- TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 months required
- PALS - within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse required
- 2 years of RN experience preferred
- 1 year of ED experience or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

The ground floor houses a breast imaging center outpatient physical therapy cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.
