Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (Adult)
Location: Bronx NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Pay Rate: $65 $70 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Adult) to deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department. The RN will assess plan and implement patient care for individuals presenting with acute urgent and critical conditions while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
Administer medications IV therapies and emergency treatments per physician orders and protocols
Initiate and manage IV access phlebotomy and cardiac monitoring
Provide nursing care during conscious sedation and emergency procedures
Monitor patient condition recognize changes and respond appropriately to emergencies
Accurately document assessments interventions and patient outcomes in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians specialists and support staff to ensure safe and effective patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans procedures and discharge instructions
Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and infection control practices
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Strong skills in IV insertion and phlebotomy
Experience with conscious sedation
Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity fast-paced emergency environment
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Required Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration from the NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
TNCC (required at select facilities)
