Internship Summary: We are actively hiring for an IT Software Engineer Intern! This summer we are looking for motivated individuals looking to begin a career in the software engineering field to support our IT Division. Our IT Division consists of multiple teams and departments in which this internship will gain exposure to including Solutions Architecture Quality Assurance IT Applications Data Science and Digital Solutions.

CSAA Internship Program: As an intern you will participate in an 11-week summer internship experience with an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world immersion into our business. Our interns participate in professional development and job-specific training and plenty of networking opportunities to gain deep understanding of their role and department while also broadening their knowledge of CSAAs business. We offer an Intern Innovation Challenge executive meet and greets community service opportunities and social bonding activities to help you stay connected.

Internship Details: The anticipated dates of our 2026 summer internship will be May 26-August 7. This role can be either remote or hybrid based out of our Glendale AZ. The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $30.50.

Essential responsibilities (may include all or some of these below depending on which team youre placed on)

• Support Architects on designing building and testing capabilities/patterns/specifications

• Develop applications using AWS Services including but not limited to S3 Lambda DynamoDB API Gateway Lambda DynamoDB EC2 SQS SNS Build Tools

• Research and conduct proof of concepts and pilots as a part of our evaluation of disruptive new technologies.

• Build integrations using APIs and application toolkits

• Work within microservices architecture domain driven design and RESTful APIs using Java.

• Work with DevOps toolchain including Kubernetes

• Develop automation with Ansible bash python or related technologies

• Be involved in building capabilities/services in a continuous delivery model on a Guidewire cloud software as a service platform.

Ideal Qualifications

• Pursuing an accreditedBachelors program and graduating between December 2026 and May 2027

• Preferred majors include Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics Engineering and Statistics. We welcome all other technical areas of study that includes programming courses in your curriculum.

• Familiarity andunderstanding of Object-Oriented design concepts data structures and algorithmsas well as sound engineering practices

• Demonstrable contributions/projects on GitHub or another code repository with knowledge of 1 to 2 programming languages technology stacks and or data tools: AWS Snowflake Java J2EE React Typescript C (VB C# ASP) SQL Splunk SageMaker UIPath etc.

• Understand the strengths and weaknesses associated with the languages/tech stacks/tools familiar with

• Strong PC skills (MS Office suite including Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint OneDrive and Outlook)

• Demonstrated analytical ability

• Strong interpersonal communication writing and organization skills

• Hunger for learning

• Respects differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds

• Comfortable with a constantly changing and uncertain environment that is inherent within a department passionate about innovation

• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US.
