As an SDE you will design and implement scalable solutions while tackling complex large-scale computing challenges. Your role involves applying knowledge in data structures algorithms and object-oriented programming. Youll own systems end-to-end and influence technology decisions that impact millions of global customers. Additionally youll build distributed real-time systems while creating comprehensive documentation and support processes.

Key job responsibilities

- Architecture design and implementation of next generation data pipelines and BI solutions
- Manage cloud infrastructure and database resources
- Build and deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines to support business analyst data scientists and customer reporting needs
- Interface with other technology teams to extract transform and load data from a wide variety of data sources
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes automating or simplifying self-service support for customers


A day in the life
Amazons Retail Foundation Systems (RFS) is responsible for enabling our Retail business supporting over $250B in annual procurement. RFS orchestrates across procurement catalog supplier contracts and retail operations to deliver the best selection and prices to our customers while optimizing vendor success and category team efficiency.
Our team manages critical procurement data for purchase orders supplier contracts and Retail offer intent across our worldwide operations. Our primary themes are reducing defects improving data accuracy and optimize retail offers to ensure we can efficiently buy the right products at the right costs and offer them to customers.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3 years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development Release or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
