Job Summary
Carlisle Public Schools is currently seeking a 5th-grade educator to teach both Language Arts and Social Studies beginning January 12 2026 to cover a multi-week assignment. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching position at Carlisle Middle School. Classroom creative thinking skills are essential as well as the ability to engage with early adolescent students and build positive relationships. Experience with project-based learning and literacy integration of the humanities is and the ability to effectively collaborate with the grade level team and special education faculty to support the curriculum and all students is a must. This Language Arts and Social Studies position will be part of a dyad and the new hire will partner with our existing math and science teacher in grade 5. Interested candidates must hold a Massachusetts teachers license and should have teaching experience with early adolescent learners.
