Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate Special Education Teacher Assistant to support middle school students in an Autism Program. The role involves providing instructional behavioral safety and personal care support under the direction of a Lead Teacher to help students achieve IEP goals in a structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individualized instruction and IEP-based activities

  • Implement positive behavior strategies and follow BIPs

  • Supervise students across classrooms and school settings

  • Assist with data collection and progress tracking

  • Provide personal care support (ADLs) as needed

  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred

  • Must meet Virginia Paraprofessional requirements

  • Experience with Autism or Special Education preferred

  • Strong communication patience and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to lift bend and respond quickly for student safety
