POSITION SUMMARY:

As we continue to grow the Fire Protection Road Supervisor (Sprinkler Systems) oversees field operations related to fire sprinkler installation service inspection and repair activities. This role provides direct leadership to sprinkler fitters and apprentices ensures compliance with applicable codes and standards and maintains productivity safety and quality. The Road Supervisor also serves as the primary field-level liaison between field crews project management and clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Operations & Supervision

Supervise and support sprinkler fitters and apprentices across multiple job sites

Coordinate daily and weekly work assignments with Project Managers and Service Coordinators

Perform regular site visits to ensure quality workmanship and schedule adherence

Troubleshoot technical issues related to sprinkler systems

Support commissioning testing and turnover activities

Safety & Compliance

Enforce company safety policies and OH&S regulations

Conduct toolbox talks and site safety inspections

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and AHJ requirements

Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

Quality Control & Technical Oversight

Verify installations meet drawings specifications and code requirements

Review deficiency reports and inspection findings

Support AHJ inspections and client walk-throughs

Assist in training and mentoring apprentices

Leadership & Team Development

Foster a professional accountable safety-focused culture

Provide coaching and performance feedback

Support performance evaluations and workforce planning

Communication & Coordination

Act as primary field contact for technical and site issues

Communicate progress and challenges to management

Coordinate with general contractors and other trades

Ensure accurate documentation and reporting


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter certification (Red Seal preferred)

510 years of sprinkler installation and service experience

Prior supervisory or lead hand experience preferred

Strong knowledge of sprinkler systems and fire codes

Valid drivers license

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

High attention to detail and quality

Ability to manage multiple job sites

Comfortable using digital reporting tools

Work Environment

Field-based role with regular travel between job sites

Indoor and outdoor work environments

Occasional after-hours or emergency response work
