AEVEX Aerospace is hiring Electrical Engineering Intern to work in our Tactical Systems engineering department. Envision design and develop products and systems as an integrated member of the engineering team. You will work closely with engineering teams across AEVEX to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of hardworking engineers whose expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs. Youll have the opportunity develop and refine technical skills working alongside industry experts in aircraft design avionics and autonomy.
The AEVEX Internship Program gives individuals who are early in their career the opportunity to gain valuable learning opportunities while discussing goals evaluating performance and receiving regular feedback. This Engineering Intern will work along side the Tactical Systems Engineering Team through a variety of disciplines to envision design and develop products and systems while developing and refining their technical skills.
Essential Functions
- Assist in designing developing and testing electrical systems and equipment for military industrial commercial and consumer use related to Unmanned Systems (UAVs UGVs USVs) of various types.
- Collaborate with other engineers technicians and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
- Assist with the installation operation maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Help to develop and implement automated programming and testing apparatuses to aid in production and quality assurance of circuit boards and subassemblies.
- Collaborate with manager to establish internship goals and steps on achieving those goals throughout duration of the program
- Assisting the overall project development under the supervision of a engineering group leader
- Performing data collection and analysis
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Knowledge of electrical design software for schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium (Preferred) Eagle PCB Autodesk Fusion360 KICAD etc...)
- Familiarity with electrical simulation tools such as LTspice
- Knowledge of common industry protocols (LVDS I2C HDMI UART SPI CAN USB MIPI)
- Familiarity with embedded processors such as ARM and basic embedded programming skills therein with C/C
- Test and Debug abilities with common lab equipment including DMMs Oscilloscopes Spectrum Analyzers Vector Network Analyzers Logic Analyzers etc...
- Proficient soldering skills
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to work effectively as part of a team.

- Capable of successfully managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Open to acquiring new skills and embracing continuous learning opportunities.
