Internship: This position is a paid full-time limited term assignment that offers interns the opportunity to gain substantive hands on experience. Interns enjoy the opportunity to get training and mentoring from experienced professionals in one or more areas. Interns may also be eligible to continue working part-time through the fall and spring semesters depending on department and agency needs.


The Health Automation & Operations Intern will work closely with the Health Division Chief Health Care Officer Chief of Staff and Health Administrative Support Supervisor to streamline and organize internal files and emails automate routine tasks and support the Divisions strategic plan using Microsoft Office suite tools (SharePoint PowerAutomate Outlook OneDrive etc). This internship will provide the opportunity to leverage Microsoft tools and AI to automate business operations. The incumbent will respond to internal requests automate email and filing systems and help with strategic planning. This position will proactively work with the team Health staff and agency employees.

This position will start on June 4th 2026 and will end on August 7th 2026.
Salary will be dependent upon education level:
Graduate Student - $21.00/hour



WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Automation & Organization
Assist the Health Division Chief Health Care Officer organize and maintain internal files and emails using SharePoint Outlook OneNote and OneDrive.
Leverage PowerAutomate and other Microsoft tools to automate timely reminders emails scheduling and review of administrative tasks (e.g. scheduling quarterly meetings updating SharePoint users organizing SharePoint sites).
Assist in automating the updating and tracking of the Health Divisions strategic plan and deliverables.
Support the Health Administrative Support Supervisor in automating and improving workflows for administrative processes.
Create PowerBI dashboards for long-term data management and organization
Create and deploy AI agents in Microsoft Copilot to enhance operations
General Functions
May assist in reviewing SharePoint and Teams files to organize data.
May assist in compiling documents as needed.

Performs related work as assigned.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Education
Currently enrolled as a graduate student (Master or Doctoral) in Business Administration Management Operations Management Information Systems or closely related field AND within 12 months of graduation.
Applicant will be required to submit a copy of official college transcripts.

Knowledge of:
General office practices and administrative procedures.
Privacy laws and standards.
Skills in:
Organizing and prioritizing work to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment and completing work accurately while meeting deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication of complex information that is accurate timely and based on sound judgment.
Using Microsoft Power Apps to organize and automate data.
Performing detailed data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to:
Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers agency staff and other external contacts.
Work effectively in a professional team environment.



Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Codes:
