The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Description of Work
The primary role of this position is to provide comprehensive training and operational support to nursing and health services staff within the South Central Region. Responsibilities include conducting new staff orientation delivering continuing education facilitating BLS CPR certification and ensuring compliance with Department of Adult Correction policies. The Nurse Educator develops and evaluates educational programs and competencies supports professional development and serves as a mentor and resource for facility staff. This role also involves active participation in the Health Services Education and APU committees with a focus on evidence-based practice and adherence to NCNA/ANCC guidelines for continuing education.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Pay Range: $59732 - $98557
