Job Summary

Full Time Ongoing Penrith NSW

Base Salary:

From $85119.70 up to $108133.91 (plus superannuation leave loading and salary sacrifice opportunities).Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Summary:

As the Human Resource Officer you will oversee end-to-end recruitment and employment processes including onboarding and training of new employees. You will be a key point of contact for staff on HR-related matters manage day-to-day HR administration and ensure employee records and systems are accurate and compliant. The role plays a vital part in attracting developing and retaining talent fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting organisational goals through effective HR practices training and development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment onboarding and orientation processes ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Identify training needs coordinate development programs and support staff learning initiatives.
  • Oversee employee benefits recognition programs and compensation administration.
  • Maintain accurate confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace policies procedures and health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and support employee engagement initiatives including surveys and feedback programs.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team including assistance with payroll and HR systems.
  • Participate in HR projects and organisational initiatives to support business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Aboriginality is a genuine qualification under the Anti-Discrimination Act.
  • Valid NSW Drivers license
  • Probity checks including NSW Working with Childrens check & National Police Check
  • Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a Human Resources Officer or similar role.
  • Recruitment and Staffing: The ideal candidate should have experience in recruiting selecting and onboarding employees with knowledge of effective recruitment strategies and techniques and an ability to assess and match candidates to organisational needs.
  • Diversity Equity and Inclusion: The candidate should have a deep understanding of diversity equity and inclusion principles and the ability to develop and implement strategies that foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
  • HR Administration: The candidate should have experience in HR administration with knowledge of HR systems record keeping and reporting and be able to ensure the organisations compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Learning & Development: The candidate should have experience in identifying organising and reporting on the benefit of training programs and workshops.
  • Health and Safety: The candidate should have knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and be able to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
  • Communication Skills: The candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees managers and external stakeholders on matters related to HR.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to convey a high degree of commitment and passion for the mission of Narang Bir-rong.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills demonstrated report writing and presentation skills and use of Microsoft office programs including word excel PowerPoint etc.
