SALARY:

$90909 to $115000 per year depending on experience and Faculty rank. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill knowledge experience education and credentials. The RVU Rank and Promotions Committee will determine rank of any finalist.

Participate in teaching service research and scholarly activities at RVU-SU campus in Ivins UT. Teaching will include lectures as assigned in gross anatomy embryology histology and neuroanatomy as well as assisting in dissection-based gross anatomy labs.

• Actively participate in the education and instruction of medical students and other health care professional students while providing mentorship and motivations for learning research and scholarly activity in classroom environments clinical settings active learning groups laboratory experience and research opportunities.
• Establish and maintain scheduled office hours for student advising tutoring remediation and consultation.
• Provide professional and clinical services in ascertained clinical settings consistent with training and degree if applicable as assigned.
• Provide service to the university community and students through serving on academic program and department committees; providing leadership mentorship and expertise to students; and participating in community outreach events and with professional organizations or groups as assigned by the Department Vice Chair or Department Chair.
• Participate in curriculum development assessment and modification as a part of the universitys ongoing quality improvement and assessment programs.
• Participate in the assessment and evaluation of students and residents provide feedback and remedial assistance to ensure that RVU students meet the standards established by the faculty and university and obtain information on the knowledge skills and competency established.
• Participate in the assessment or evaluation of and provide feedback to other members of the faculty as part of the universitys ongoing quality improvement and assessment program.
• Maintain a personal and professional development plan and portfolio including documentation of teaching professional development activities and plans service provided to the university and communities and scholarly activity and research to assure personal growth and continued competency within your specialty field.
• Demonstrate the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior in all aspects of personal and professional actions and performance.
• Demonstrate and role model an ongoing ability to work cooperatively with colleagues supervisors and support staff.
• Demonstrate adaptability and the willingness to assist the university and college in fulfilling its mission and vision though teaching academic administrative duties (e.g. course/system coordinator) providing patient care if applicable community service and/or perform special duties as assigned.
• Advance the prestige of the university and college through advancement of its mission and vision and advancement of your personal career.
• Other duties as assigned by the SU Campus Dean or his/her designee.

• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the delivery of medical education.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the area of studied expertise.
• Demonstrate knowledge of varied curriculum templates.
• Demonstrate ability to mentor and motivate students and peers.

• Terminal degree in the appropriate field from an accredited institution with current Board Certification in appropriate area of specialization if applicable.
• One (1) year of academic experience as a full-time faculty member at a medical school or three (3) years of academic experience as a full-time faculty member in an institution of higher education.
• Demonstrated productivity in the areas of clinical or professional service scholarly activity medical research or education.
• Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.
• Eligible for coverage by colleges malpractice insurer if applicable.

• Two (2) years of academic experience as a full-time faculty member at a College of Osteopathic Medicine or five (5) years of academic experience as a full-time faculty member in an institution of higher education.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in professional or educational settings.
• Demonstrations of published works of scholarly activity.
