Summary of Job
The City of Wisconsin Dells is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer. The positions are limited term full-time and part-time for the 2026 season (April through September.) The full-time positions work 5-days on and 2-days off 8-hour shifts and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Both full-time and part-time positions must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Parking Enforcement Officers are primarily responsible for enforcing state statutes and municipal ordinances pertaining to parking regulations. Other duties include but are not limited to caring for and maintaining parking equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience dealing with the public is desirable.
- Possess a valid drivers license.
Job Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Physically be able to perform the essential job functions required of a Parking Enforcement Officer including but not limited to:
- Ability to assist and direct people in various situations.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for periods of time.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to maintain an effective working environment.
- Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
- Ability to become familiar with parking regulations.
- Ability to make reasonable decisions and communicate effectively.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during conflict.
- Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory performance levels in relevant skills.
- Ability to work with all races and demographics.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
