As Research Coordinator II you will help manage the DDSI clinical research department and its activities while coordinating the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects typically involving a low workload and low complexity. While the numerous responsibilities can be difficult to juggle at times your team will encourage you to enhance your skills and strengthen your ability to identify new avenues of treatment to support research and education within DDSI.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Coordinate the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects typically of medium workload and medium complexity.
Maintain regulatory documents and binders conduct data management complete IRBsubmissionsand communicate with the research team.
Report and complete serious adverse events and/or safety logs.
Communicate with sponsorsmonitorsand research personnel to ensure all aspects of study compliance.
Serve as a liaison between investigators research personnel outside study personnel and central research administration offices toassistin protocol interpretationenrollmentand safety questions.
Schedule pre-site selection visits site initiation visits webinarsmonitoringand close-out visits.
Plan conduct and evaluate project protocols and research subject recruitment.
Monitor and report project status and research data.
Complete regulatory documents data capturemonitoringplansand protocol-related activities.
Assistwith preparing and responding to audits andmaintainingresearch tools.
Within 90 days of hire must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED
Two years of clinical research or healthcare experience
Proficiencywith various computer-based skills (word processing spreadsheetsdatabasesand presentation software)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelors degree in healthcare ora science-related field. This may substitute for two years ofthe experience requirement
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
In some locations ability to move up to 25 pounds
