The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration Health Services Rehabilitation & Reentry Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters!

Salary Range: $35984.00 - $62971.00
Salary Grade: NC07
To qualify for this position applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
Through knowledge of local/regional community resources to address the placement of monitored offenders and knowledge of structured sentencing and how it applies to Community Supervision.
Through knowledge of sanctions that are available that will target the offenders needs.
Demonstrated experience with supervising a team delegating and directing work assignments along with a variety of activities to include court intake.
Experience with presenting in a professional manner always as the job is a highly visible position within Community Supervision
Ability to work independently and receive directions from Chief Probation/Parole officer.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills and work under stressful situations.

Bachelors degree in criminal justice human services psychology or related field of study from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience as a Judicial Services Coordinator or other directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
or
Associates degree in criminal justice human services psychology or related field of study from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience as a Judicial Services Coordinator or other directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
or
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five years of experience as a Judicial Services Coordinator or other directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
