Job Summary

Civil Planner

RFNOW Inc. is seeking a Civil Planner to join the team. Reporting to the Manager Design &Engineering the Civil Planner is responsible for developing andmanaging project plans as well as coordinating with other departments toensure that all aspects of the project are on track. This will include leading and oversight ofall new service development network planning and engineering andimplementation and build-out of our fibre network. This position is a HYBRID position.

Role& Responsibilities include:

Creation ofcable design plans site plans (civil) and other drawings for new constructionand upgrade/rebuild projects as well as new area fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and Multi-DomesticUnits (MDU) design drawings and packages

Draftmunicipal consent civil drawings; illustrate proposed routing in relation toexisting underground and aerial facilities. Create applicable cross-sectionsand details. Select cable/conduit route that will most likely pass permitapproval; both aerial and underground scenarios and weighing scenarios throughmake-ready and costing analysis exercises (includes some field evaluations)

Preparationof fibre cable design plans floor plans site plans and other drawings fornew residential/commercial construction projects

Conduct sitemeetings with designer/surveyor; attend meetings with teams to discuss projectscope and strategies as required

Developproject-specific construction notes material requirements and identifyassociated labour tasks

Be aware andadhere to all applicable Health & Safety regulations in accordance withlegislation and related company policy.

Expertise & Requirements:

High SchoolGraduation; technology project or planning certifications may be beneficial

Experience intelecom or utility planning construction and administration

Appliedknowledge of Vetro ArcGIS AutoCAD and related software

AdvancedMicrosoft Office skills particularly with Excel Word and Outlook

Multi-taskingability; adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines

Stronginterpersonal and communication skills able to clearly communicate withinternal and external project teams

Detail-orientedwith solid problem solving and analytical skills

Self-motivatedwith the ability to take initiative and resolve problems independently;monitors own quality of work

Must possessvalid class 5 drivers license
