Job Description
Advanced Energy United seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Policy Intern to join our Enabling Building Electrification team for the Summer 2026 program. This role will help support the teams mission to shape the future of clean efficient electric homes and businesses with a focus on qualitative research into wonky topics related to infrastructure planning electric and gas utility regulatory reforms affordability and electrification market and policy opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Researchemerginglegislative and regulatory topics and evolving technologies and markets in the U.S. and abroad;
- Develop accessible presentation and written materials to communicate research findings;
- Monitor and summarize relevant hearings stakeholder meetings webinars reports and regulatory filings;
- Join internal and external team stakeholder and coalition meetings when relevant;
- Assistin organizing and supporting educational events.
Interns willworkahybridscheduleand thereforemustbelocated inthe DC MD VA area for the summer a commutable distance to our DC office.A final project will be due from each intern and presented to the organizationat the end of the program.

Preferred Skills
