Duration: 6 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Schedule
Monday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM 1:00 PM
Wednesday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Position Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support both front-office and clinical operations. This role requires a patient-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about health education outreach and delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
Greet room and prepare patients for examinations
Perform front- and back-office duties including scheduling and answering phones
Take and document vital signs
Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
Provide clinical and administrative support as needed
Collaborate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Required experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
Strong attention to detail and patient communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Interest in working in a healthcare setting focused on education outreach and community impact
Required Skills
