Outpatient Registered Nurse
Local or Travel position
Location: Pine Ridge SD 57770
Pay Rate: $48 per hour Travel stipends
Schedule: 80 hours per 2-week rotation; variable clinic shifts (8- or 10-hour shifts). Flexibility required including evenings Sundays and holidays as assigned.
Contract Length: Base period of 3 months with the option to extend
Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare PTO sick leave and holiday pay.
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive outpatient and specialty clinic nursing care to patients across the lifespan. This role supports multiple service areas within the Pine Ridge Service Unit and requires flexibility strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in ambulatory/outpatient care

Active unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state DC or U.S. territory
-
Successful completion of NCLEX-RN
-
BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA)
-
Ability to float across outpatient acute care specialty clinics pediatrics mobile units and specialty services
-
Ability to assist in emergency and cardiac arrest situations
Responsibilities:
-
Deliver direct outpatient nursing care to pediatric adult and geriatric patients
-
Perform assessments reassessments and develop individualized plans of care
-
Administer medications and vaccines via all routes (PO IM IV SQ etc.)
-
Perform venipuncture specimen collection IV insertion wound care and oxygen therapy
-
Assist with minor procedures using aseptic technique
-
Provide patient and family education tailored to cultural and educational needs
-
Maintain accurate documentation in EHR/RPMS in compliance with CMS and TJC standards
-
Support clinic operations during staff shortages leave coverage and high-demand periods
-
Operate and monitor medical equipment perform quality control checks and ensure patient safety
-
Collaborate with providers and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
