FedTec is seeking a dedicated Loan Collections Officer to support early-stage loan collections and customer resolution efforts. This role focuses on proactive outreach problem resolution and customer engagement for accounts that are 1 2 months past due. The ideal candidate will bring strong collections experience excellent communication skills and working knowledge of mortgage default servicing guidelines.

Location: Richmond VA 100% On-Site

Responsibilities

• Collect payments on early-stage delinquent accounts (1 2 months past due) through effective problem resolution
• Contact borrowers to discuss account status and resolve delinquency issues
• Make payment arrangements take phone payments and establish repayment plans
• Offer and discuss Loss Mitigation options with borrowers
• Handle inbound Loss Mitigation calls professionally and accurately
• Ensure compliance with all applicable servicing guidelines and internal procedures
• Accurately document collection activities and borrower interactions in the servicing system

Qualifications

• Prior experience in collections or customer service
• Strong working knowledge of FHA Fannie Mae Freddie Mac VA and USDA default servicing guidelines
• Experience using the MSP Servicing System
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
