We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Data Flow Chapter Lead to drive our data integration and data flow capabilities. You will lead a team of engineers and analysts overseeing the design implementation and management of all data flows and reporting frameworks across the firm. This role is pivotal in building scalable reliable and secure data pipelines that power business operations and strategic decision-making.
You Will:
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing team of data engineers.
- Define and implement best practices for data flow design monitoring and governance.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align data flow strategy with organizational goals.
- Architect and maintain data pipelines for ingestion transformation and delivery across multiple systems and formats (CSV XML JSON APIs SFTP etc.).
- Ensure scalability reliability and security of data flow across environments.
- Implement monitoring and alerting frameworks to guarantee timely and uninterrupted data movement.
- Identify and drive automation opportunities to reduce manual interventions and improve efficiency.
- Optimize data delivery and infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish robust validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data flow capabilities.
- Identify design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes optimizing data delivery re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability etc.
- Responsible for performing thorough testing and validation to support the accuracy of data transformations and data verification.
- To design and setup appropriate monitoring processes to ensure timely and uninterrupted dataflow.
- Be able to structure data flow in ways that provide detail and insight on data flows so that issues can effectively and efficiently be traced back to the underlying problem.

Qualifications :
You Have:
- 8 years in data engineering or integration roles with at least 4 years in a team leadership capacity.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
- Strong hands-on skills in SQL Python and PySpark
- Proven experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in Apache NiFi AWS services (S3 Glue Athena Lambda).
- Experience of working with Databricks will be considered favorable.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
- Experience with structured semi-structured and unstructured data sources.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes data modelling and data quality frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
