Clinical Nurse Manager I Medical Assessment Unit

Full-Time - Permanent

Bon Secours Hospital Cork are seeking to recruit nurses to support a broad range of our services. Full training and mentoring are given to all staff nurses as well as funding and support in further education. We are committed to the professional development & education of staff particularly in nursing.

The successful applicant will be required to enhance and maintain the highest standards in patient care at all times. You will be required to contribute to the effective use of all hospital resources at your disposal and you will be required to maximise staff development in a learning environment. This will include support motivation and guidance for all employees within your remit.

Candidate Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in accident and emergency or acute medical environment
• Nurse management experience would be a distinct advantage
• A management qualification is preferred
• Preceptorship/teaching and assessing of students and junior staff is also essential.
• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI
• Post Grad in Emergency Nursing is desirable

• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• Must possess strong communication skills and clinical skills
• Fluency in English both written and spoken
• Must be computer literate
• Flexibility and excellent use of initiative
• Be patient focused with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Attention to detail ability to multitask and maintain organisation in a busy environment.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken
