Job Description

Join us as the Safety and Environment Lead for our Dublin Biotech site! You will be a key member of both the site leadership team and the global safety and environment community guiding our environmental health and safety (EHS) strategy and ensuring we meet all regulatory and internal standards. You will lead a dedicated team partner across functions and help foster a culture where everyone takes ownership of safety and environmental stewardship.

Bring energy knowledge innovation to carry out the following:

  • Lead the sites EHS program and ensure compliance with all relevant laws permits and internal standards
  • Implement and continuously improve site policies programs and management systems
  • Provide expert guidance on:
    • Liquid effluent treatment
    • Air emissions control
    • Waste management
    • Process safety and risk management
    • Emergency preparedness and response
    • Regulatory requirements and licensing
    • Industrial hygiene
  • Translate complex regulations into clear practical guidance for all colleagues
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders and teams in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Engage with local regulatory agencies as the sites primary point of contact
  • Set clear objectives track performance with standard metrics and drive corrective actions
  • Lead develop and mentor the Safety and Environment team; attract and grow talent
  • Champion a proactive EHS culture where every employee is a safety and environmental advocate
  • Manage the department budget and resources effectively

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role you will more than likely have:

  • Experience leading Safety and Environment programs with a strong grasp of environmental health and safety regulations and internal EHS standards
  • Proven success implementing and sustaining management systems and compliance programs
  • Bachelors degree in a science or engineering field (postgraduate degree a plus)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and how they relate to EHS requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and building an inclusive highperforming culture
  • Excellent collaboration stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity set priorities and drive outcomes with urgency
  • Strategic thinker who can identify and apply best practices from varied organizations
