Property Claims Examiner - Full Time (Anywhere in Canada)

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party administration (TPA) team providing claims services for Lloyds of London syndicates domestic insurers self-insured entities and organizations with high financial retentions.

We have an existing opportunity to add a Property Claims Examiner to our team!

The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable detailed and timely service. Utilizing a desktop model IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and also helps offset third-party adjusting costs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Examinemoderate tointermediate complex propertyclaims

  • Produce reports with occasional guidance from Manager

  • Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations

  • Settle claims directly withInsureds or their representatives

  • Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts

  • Liaise with all stakeholders to insure clients needs are met

  • Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines

Qualifications & Experience:

While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be strong technically a solid planner and organizer and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. You will have to be motivated to do this type of work and be excited by the challenges that a rapidly growing organization faces.

We will also consider the following:

  • Your education with relevant post-secondary education being an asset

  • Your completed CIP courses or working towardsCIP designation

  • Your ability to hold an independent adjusting license

  • Your 3-7 years experience delivering relevant claims adjusting and/or examining work

  • Exposure to the Lloyds market would be an asset

  • Your experience positively contributing to a high-performing team

  • Examples of your strong aptitude and ability to work with technology

  • Your attention to detail and your ability to communicate professionally
