Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Role Summary
The Technical Associate will support infrastructure and platform initiatives including operating system upgrades software installations security remediation and environment stabilization across Windows and Linux platforms. The role involves hands-on technical execution under defined processes and senior guidance.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
.Support Windows and Linux server administration activities
.Assist with operating system upgrades and migrations
.Perform software installations upgrades and configurations
.Support infrastructure hosted on virtual machines
.Assist in addressing security vulnerabilities identified through assessments or audits
.Support application and platform validation post changes
.Troubleshoot system and application issues and escalate as needed
.Maintain technical documentation and follow change management procedures
.Collaborate with application infrastructure and security teams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
.24 years of experience in infrastructure / system support roles
.Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments
.Exposure to OS upgrades or platform migrations
.Basic experience with databases and middleware components
.Understanding of enterprise security practices
.Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Nice to Have
.Exposure to automation or infrastructure tools
.Experience supporting messaging or data platforms
.Familiarity with regulated or enterprise IT environments
**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60000$110000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
