Learn more at The Associate Scientist Sample Donor Program is responsible for biospecimen collection and overseeing daily operations of the collection laboratory.
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sample Donation Program including biospecimen collection and laboratory management
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining uninterrupted program operations
- Developing and maintaining biospeciman management plans handling requirements program documentation and participant training
- Providing operational oversight for biospecimen chain-of-custody and adherence to tracking compliance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain current collection and management plans
- Collaborate and provide expertise to requesting scientists on collection requirements/timing during the study planning phase
- Supporting QA and SOP compliance and partnering with training teams to keep SOPs updated
- Anticipating and resolving operational issues to meet deliverables
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Bioscience Technology Medical Technology or related field with 1 or more years of experience required.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy including venipuncture and specimen collection is required.
- Previous experience in clinical trial management/operations is preferred.
- Anticipating and resolving operational issues to meet deliverables
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and compliance protocols
- Proficiency in electronic data systems and quality control programs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment
