Stryker Sustainability Solutions is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Phoenix AZ. This individuals key focus will be to support operations and all teams supporting the production floor. The manufacturing engineer will own the processes used on the production floor interface with facilities to repair and maintain the production equipment. They will also focus on process improvements to drive efficiencies increase first pass yield and address safety improvements as required. At Sustainability Solutions we remanufacture medical devices that would normally go to landfills after the first-time use. The product therefore starts as non-conforming material and will be transformed into functional products through our reprocessing cycles. Our equipment is highly customized tailored to device specific needs. Projects and priorities at the site are structured to provide improved yield efficiency etc.
What you will do
- Provide technical support to implement new automated medical device production equipment
- Support engineering and project management in FAT installation and commissioning of equipment.
- Support development of the process FMEAs and control plans for new or modified equipment.
- Complete process validations including VP URS IQ OQ PQ and associated documentation.
- Develop appropriate supporting documentation SOPs and work instructions compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Collaborate with product design engineers equipment vendors maintenance technicians and operations leadership to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Support line performance monitoring and lead practical problem solving (PPS) projects to remediate systemic issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you need
Required:
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes materials product and process design.
- Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Self-starter with efficient work methods and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic and results-orientated team environment.
Preferred:
- Industrial Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Experience (ie. internship) in manufacturing engineering mechanical engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated interest and experience supporting manufacturing operations troubleshooting automation equipment and implementing process improvements.
- FDA regulated industry experience (ie. internship).
Travel Percentage: 20%
