Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Optometrist to cover three locations in Manhattan!
At Mount Sinai Doctors - West 57th Street this location combines a complete range of health services in the convenience of a Midtown location. With all the noise color flash and bustle of Times Square Broadway and Rockefeller Center Midtown is the neighborhood many picture first when they think of New York. Rockefeller Center Grand Central Terminal and St. Patricks Cathedral are all among the worlds most recognizable destinations. The neighborhood is not just sightseeing however: it also boasts top-flight restaurants and bars including the Theatre Districts Restaurant Row and rowdy Hells Kitchens bars and clubs.
Another practice will be located on West 53nd Street and 8th Ave. Hells Kitchen is a neighborhood that is considered to be bordered by 34th Street (or 41st Street) to the south 59th Street to the north Eighth Avenue to the east and the Hudson River to the west. Hells Kitchen has become an increasingly upscale neighborhood of affluent young professionals as well as residents from the old days. Ninth Avenue is noted for its many ethnic restaurants. There are more restaurants and food carts and trucks on Tenth Avenue between 43rd and 47th Kitchens side streets are mostly lined with trees.A newer park in Hells Kitchen is the Hudson Park and Boulevard which is part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project.
Mount Sinai Doctors - Delancey Street is home for medical care on the Lower East Side. It provides primary and specialty care for adults and children. This facility offers ample space and on-site X-ray for a comfortable setting in which to receive comprehensive care. Patients are like an extended family and it treats each with special care. This location has extended evening and Saturday hours as well as same-day appointments.
Under general direction of Ophthalmologist examines diagnoses treats and manages diseases injuries and disorders of the visual system and associated structures as well as identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye; corrects to maximum efficiency patients medical visual problems through use of correct lenses both spectacle and contact and other optical aids. Treats patients having a full range of optometric problems and prescribes correction ranging from simple single vision lenses through prisms iseikonic and aphakic lenses; assesses patients physical and mental abilities and performs follow-up evaluations to determine whether the patient is appropriately.

Instructs Resident Ophthalmologists and paramedical personnel in the field of ophthalmic instrumentation and optometric procedures by planning and developing a course of training under the direction of the Staff Ophthalmologist by conducting lectures and demonstrations.
Works in a dedicated room equipped with Ophthalmic Instruments.
Qualifications:
Compensation range from 120K to 140K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
