St. Johns College of Nursing is seeking an Assistant Professor to join our team. The Assistant Professor carries out faculty duties necessary for the ongoing implementation of a baccalaureate & masters nursing program consistent with the mission of the college. Is responsible for activities to maintain a qualified student body a qualified faculty and a nursing curriculum which meets accreditation standards. Demonstrates scholarship of teaching and leadership through shared governance activities.

Education Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Nursing is required for baccalaureate program.
  • Doctorate degree in Nursing required for masters program.
  • Evidence of degree must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Experience Qualifications
  • Two years teaching experience at baccalaureate level preferred.
  • Per state law nurse faculty must have 2 years clinical experience. For masters program experience teaching at the masters level preferred and/or experiential expertise in content area.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is required.
  • Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license required for masters Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track.
