Casual Restaurant and Hospitality Manager
About the Role
This is a casual flexible position focused on managing restaurant and hospitality areas within Chepstow Racecourse. As a restaurant and hospitality manager youll take ownership of service delivery team performance and operational efficiency across your designated area.
What Youll Do
- Lead motivate and support your team to deliver consistent high-quality service.
- Ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and professional attentive experience.
- Brief train and develop team members so theyre confident and event-ready.
- Manage staffing levels break schedules and shift planning on the day.
- Maintain stock levels assist with rotation and minimise wastage.
- Uphold excellent standards of cleanliness and compliance across Health & Safety COSHH and licensing requirements.
- Resolve customer queries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Create a positive energetic atmosphere for both guests and staff.
- Drive sales upselling opportunities and overall business performance.
- Delegate tasks clearly to ensure smooth efficient service delivery.
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience in retail or hospitality management within fast-paced environments.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and customer service standards.
- Flexible adaptable and committed to delivering first-class experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenges calmly.
- Professional well-presented and guest-focused at all times.
- Experience using tills and PDQ machines.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Desirable Experience
- Background in premium F&B events or restaurant management.
- Knowledge of licensing food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Personal Licence Holder (advantageous).
- Strong organisation planning and systems skills.
- Track record of increasing sales and improving operational standards.
- Natural ability to motivate teams and encourage positive working culture.
