About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Backend Principal Engineer with deep expertise in Python and GoLang to design and develop scalable APIs integrations and data-driven systems. This role requires experience in cloud platforms and data analytics. The ideal candidate brings a proactive go-getter mindset taking initiative to identify challenges propose innovative solutions and deliver high-quality software.
What You Will Do
Lead the architecture and design of microservices and streaming systems.
Build review and deliver high-quality backend services (Python/GoLang) and data pipelines.
Define and enforce best practices across CI/CD Infrastructure as Code (IaC) observability security and testing.
Drive production reliability through SLOs/SLIs performance optimization incident management and postmortems.
Work closely with cloud services and platforms.
What You Need to Be Successful
10 to 13 years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on experience in backend development using Python and Golang.
API and integration expertise including REST gRPC and messaging patterns.
Data and caching experience with RDBMS/SQL (Postgres/MySQL) NoSQL and caching solutions such as Redis.
Big data processing and orchestration experience with Spark Flink Airflow and dbt.
Data warehousing and data lake technologies including Snowflake BigQuery and Redshift along with ETL/ELT patterns.
Streaming and data pipeline experience using Kafka and event-driven architectures.
Cloud experience across AWS GCP or Azure including architectural patterns IAM and networking.
Hands-on knowledge of cloud services such as compute storage and networking.
Containerization and orchestration using Docker Kubernetes and Helm.
Infrastructure as Code experience with Pulumi or Terraform including provisioning and state management.
CI/CD and release management using GitHub Actions or Jenkins including canary and blue-green deployments.
Strong focus on testing and quality through unit integration and contract testing as well as test automation.
Proven experience in performance optimization and scalability including profiling load testing and capacity planning.
Bonus Points if You Have
Masters in Computer Science or a related domain.
Strong frontend fundamentals including React Angular TypeScript and HTML/CSS.
Cloud-native experience with serverless architectures service mesh and GitOps/ArgoCD.
Exposure to SRE practices including incident response runbook creation and automation.
