We are currently searching for aSenior Reliability & Maintainability Engineerto join our team in Richardson TXor Cedar Rapids IA.

What YOU will do:

Supportsprogram developmentthrough the application of reliability and maintainability techniques.

Participatesinallphases of program life cycleutilizingreliability and maintainability methodologies as they apply in our systems engineeringprocessesinaccordance withmilitary standardssuch as MIL-HDBK-217 MIL-HDBK-338B MIL-HDBK-470 MIL-STD-1629A.

Providessupport to reliability and maintainabilitymodeling and predictionsanalysis testability analysis maintainabilityand built-in-test demonstrations environmental testingFMEA/FMECAandFRACAS.

Provides input to the development ofFailure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions Reliability Critical Items List and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)

Serve as aReliability &Maintainabilityrepresentativetoengineering and business leadership

Qualifications YOUMust Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance isprior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret after start.

U.S. citizenship is as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Two (2) years of experience with systems engineeringlifecycle with knowledge of how to apply reliability and maintainability techniques to systems requirements

One (1) year ofdemonstratedexperience supporting design and development teams to develop assess and verify Reliability & Maintainability related requirements for mission-critical systems

Three(3) yearsof experience in conducting/developing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions Reliability Critical Items List and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) BuiltInTest (BIT) design / verification analysisand/ortestability analysis

Qualifications We Prefer:

Knowledge ofsystemsarchitectures and designs

Knowledge of basic circuit analysis and the ability to perform detailed analyses on complex systems

Understanding ofmilitaryaircraft-related missions functional operation performance specifications and validation techniques

Experience planning and conducting Accelerated Stress Testing or a willingness to learn and apply those techniques such as Highly Accelerated Life Test processes (HALT) Reliability Enhancement Test (RET) Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS)

Experience using industryrecognized tools such asRelyenceReliasoftWindchilloreXpress

Familiarity with agile development and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)

Good presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences

Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and build trust with team members from manydifferent backgrounds including engineering management engineering teams program management business development support groups and subcontractors

Experience intechnical proposal preparation related to Reliability & Maintainability

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
