Under the direction of the Test Operations Supervisor this role involves conducting both destructive and non-destructive testing on energetic devices ensuring they meet our customers stringent specifications. As an employee at Collins Aerospace-Fairfield Safety is an expectation. Employees are expected to work safely follow all safety rules requirements procedures and instructions always. You are expected to actively participate in the safety program and be mindful of your safety and the safety of others. You are expected to complete all safety training in a timely manner.

The work schedule is:

• Monday Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Overtime available and/or mandatory on a business need basis

What You Will Do

• Testing Set-up performance and evaluation under the guidance of a senior technician.

• Product performance measurement and data collections.

• Equipment Preventative maintenance and calibration.

• Testing Equipment Troubleshooting and Repair

• Occasionally support failure investigations and developmental testing.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

• HS diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2 year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with ordnance products and test instrumentation/electronics.

• Ability to read understand and redline testing procedures.

• Proficiency in preparing data sheets and using formulas in Excel and other software.

• Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of hand tools and measurement devices (e.g. calipers micrometers depth gauges).

• Familiarity with test equipment (e.g. power supplies oscilloscopes multimeters).

• Knowledge of electronics instrumentation and the ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

*The salary range for this role is $40691 to $76318 however RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills
