Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant (Gnr) to serve as 603 HQ SNCO HQ TRG REGT at 603 (City of Edinburgh) Sqn Edinburgh on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 01 June 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

The post holder will be expected to work some weekends and plan organise and participate in other Sqn training and engagement events as necessary. Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team and have effective communication skills (written verbal and presentational).

The successful applicant will be responsible to the Sqn OC for:

a. Ensuring adherence to the Sqn TQM SCD and CRA at all times during training.

b. Plan prepare co-ordinate and conduct training for Phase 3 A Flt personnel and act as their main point of contact.

c. Coordinate the allocation of accommodation training facilities and resources at the THQ on a Phase 3 training weekend.

d. Coordinate the provision of instructor support for Phase 3 Regt training weekends.

e. Coordinate and submit range and training area bookings; including accommodation weapon and ammunition storage classrooms and welfare facilities etc in line with the Sqns training programme.

f. Assist FS Trg and JNCO RAF Regt in maintaining accurate and definitive records of the results of all training.

g. Responsible for the development recording and maintenance of the Sqns pamphlets publications; in all media forms for reference and training and ensure it is current accountable and fit for purpose.

h. Act as one of the Sqns First Party Auditor NCOs for all phases of training.

i. Act as LM and RO to JNCO RAF Regt Trg.

j. Stand in and conduct the duties of FS Trg in their absence.

k. Undertake any other role or responsibilities as directed by FS Trg or Trg/Ops Off.
