Registered Nurse CAMHS / Eating Disorders

Mental Health & Specialist Nursing 37.5 hours per week Permanent

This role requires nurses who have completed their preceptorship. We are unable to consider applications from newly qualified nurses.

Working within eating disorders and CAMHS requires a very particular kind of nurse - someone who is clinically sharp emotionally resilient and deeply committed to the young people they care for. If that sounds like you this small and specialist service could be the perfect fit.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN - RGN RMN RNLD or Childrens Nurse considered
  • Completed preceptorship is essential - newly qualified nurses will not be considered for this role
  • Experience within a mental health eating disorders or specialist CAMHS setting - highly desirable
  • A compassionate patient and trauma-informed approach to care
  • Ability to work effectively within a small close-knit multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong clinical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build therapeutic relationships with young people and families

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality person-centred care to young people with eating disorders within a specialist CAMHS setting
  • Carry out thorough assessments of physical and mental health needs developing and reviewing care plans accordingly
  • Monitor and manage the physical health of young people recognising and responding promptly to any deterioration
  • Support young people through their treatment journey with compassion consistency and a trauma-informed approach
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists therapists and dietitians
  • Build trusted therapeutic relationships with young people and their families
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation in line with NMC standards
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the service
