Our client is growing their multi-discipline engineering practice and is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems across a variety of commercial industrial and institutional projects. This is a hands-on engineering role with leadership responsibility technical ownership and the opportunity to mentor junior staff while working closely with clients.
This is a direct hire position for our client.
Salary:$70000 to $120000 Depending on Experience
Location: Greenville SC (100% Onsite)
What Youll Do
As a PE Electrical Engineer youll take ownership of electrical system design from concept through construction.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Design and engineer power distribution lighting and low-voltage systems
- Perform load calculations short-circuit and fault current analysis and coordination studies
- Develop single-line diagrams panel schedules wiring layouts and technical specifications
- Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
- Support construction activities including site visits submittal reviews and commissioning
- Coordinate designs with mechanical civil and structural teams
- Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide QA/QC oversight
- Interface with clients utilities and vendors to ensure code compliance and on-time delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong experience with electrical power distribution lighting and low-voltage system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Working knowledge of NEC IEEE NFPA and applicable state/local electrical codes
- Previous Project Management experience
- Forensic engineering or failure analysis experience a plus
- Renewable energy systems (solar PV) generators or UPS systems experience a plus
- Client development or proposal writing experience a plus
