The MRSS Leader provides technical leadership throughout the MR site preparation and installation process. This role evaluates site conditions verifies compliance with MR environmental and structural requirements and recommends corrective measures to ensure successful MR system installation. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Site Suitability Assessment & Technical Support
- Review Site Survey reports technical test results and Design Center drawings to confirm site readiness for MR installation. Providing technical recommendations and corrective actions to address any non-conformities.
- Evaluate potential risks affecting MR performance including:
- EMI (Electromagnetic Interference)
- Steel mass and structural influences
- Vibration impact
- Gauss line exposure and Shielding design
- Helium venting and pipe routing
- Work closely with Project Managers to guide installation planning resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with MR system requirements.
- Partner with global MR engineering teams and other stakeholders on complex or escalated site challenges.
- Support MR installation projects across AKA (ASEAN Korea Australia and New Zealand) Japan India and South Asia.
Vendor & Shielding Validation
- Assess new shielding vendors to ensure their designs materials and construction methods meet GE HealthCare standards.
- Provide technical approval or required improvement actions for vendor qualification.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a technical advisor to Project Managers and site stakeholders ensuring clear communication of MR requirements.
- Translate complex engineering requirements into actionable guidance for customers vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain adherence to GEHC processes documentation requirements and installation quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- minimum 3 years of experience in MR medical equipment or site engineering (installation design or field engineering).
- Strong understanding of EMI magnetic shielding vibration analysis and MR environmental requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings site surveys and engineering documents.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and internal/external partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in English for regional and global collaboration.
