What you will do

Work with higher tier Prevailing Wage Analyst supporting Johnson Controls Prevailing Wage Center of Excellence compliance related to federal state and local government contracts laws and regulations with a focus on improving compliance consistency automation and optimization.

How you will do it

  • Contribute to the data input of prevailing wage information into the prevailing wage application and assist with maintenance updates.
  • Assist lead analyst with the execution of prevailing wage action plans and achievable recommendations related to deadline driven weekly monitoring and review data files provided by the lead analyst for accuracy.
  • Assist with the monthly review of state websites for changes in prevailing wage laws and wage rates and modify internal documents or systems for changes in law.
  • Review and analyze contracts and field service requests and other key records as they relate to prevailing wage and compliance.
  • Partner with field personnel prevailing wage lead analyst and legal colleagues in the resolution of prevailing wage inquiries.
  • Create and maintain training documentation and assist with training and support to multiple field locations.
  • Work with the lead analyst to help document best practices surrounding prevailing wage department policies and procedures prevailing wage standards and guidelines.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative services
  • Process data
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Manage basic inquiries
  • Resolves minor problems
  • Compiles standard reports
  • Support higher level analysts
  • Perform other duties as directed by manager

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good research skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years experience working in the construction industry.
  • 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29-$38 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
