The University of Iowa Community Clinicsis seeking a patient centeredLaboratory Technician II 80% (32 hours per week)to work with our UICC Tipton Clinic.This position also will have a supportive laboratory focus (providing phlebotomy support as well as point of care testing). This position may float to other clinical locations/specialties based on clinical need/hours.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision the Laboratory Technician II performs phlebotomy and a variety of difficult venipuncture proceduresdifficult technical procedures and other associated responsibilities in the clinical laboratory while maintaining laboratory area and equipment.

Schedule: Four 8-hour shifts per week scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. One weekday off per week. No weekends holidays or on-call time required.
Location: Tipton IA (and surrounding clinics based on clinical need/hours)
Pay Grade: 8 Required
Two years of related laboratory experience including one year as a Laboratory Technician I or equivalent level experience OR
Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification OR
