Salary/Grade: $70000 annual; 12 Exempt

About The Eliza Shirley House Resolution Center: The Salvation Armys ESHRC is a safe and welcoming emergency housing program offering loving respectful compassionate and non-judgmental services to empower residents to strive towards self-sufficiency. The goal of the ESHRC is to support individuals experiencing homelessness address immediate barriers to self sufficiency identify and access longer term housing support and resolve their immediate housing crisis. All populations experiencing homelessness including single men and women couples and families with children are accepted.
Responsibilities
Description of Position: The Assistant Director of the Eliza Shirley House Resolution Center (ADESHRC) supports the
Director of Emergency Housing (DEH) on the day-to-day management and running of the Eliza Shirley House Resolution Center (ESHRC) which is a 24/7 trauma-informed emergency housing program. This includes directly supervising the Operations Manager and Case Managers. The ADESHRC completes all invoice processing and ensures smart data is completed. The ADRSFR works with the Director of Emergency Housing to develop the budget for ESHRC and monitors to provide monthly updates and ensure compliance. The ADESHRC supports the DEH to provide leadership and guidance to all program staff and residents including maintaining a trauma-sensitive environment through the implementation of the Sanctuary Model at all
levels of service provision. The ADESHRC supports the Operations Manager on staff retention to ensure safe staffing levels are maintained at a 24/7 the absence of the Operations Manager the ADESHRC is responsible for adjusting the schedule to ensure safe staffing levels. Also the ADESHRC provides support to the Red Shield Family Residence and Eliza Shirley House as requested.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- BSW (required) Masters Degree in Social Work prefered (MSW).
- Residential experience preferred.
- 3 years working with families experiencing homeless.
- Training in trauma-informed care (Sanctuary Model Training) preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- As a Mandated Reporter must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting
- child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with
- recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
- Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History
- Clearance PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
- Must possess an appreciation for and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
