Subject to formal establishment amendment a vacancy may arise for a Squadron Leader (Any Profession) to serve as SO2 EE COS at RAF High Wycombe on Additional Duties Commitment (180 days) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 01 June 2026 (or later subject to candidate status). This role is hybrid with HWY being the HR function area.
Role and Requirements.
You will quickly establish yourself as the RAF single point of contact for Employer Engagement working for SO1 Employer Engagement. Through close liaison with the Air Regional Employer Engagement network (AREEOs) RAuxAF sqns Air Cmd Reserves RF&C DRM and RFCAs you will work to facilitate employer engagement support events and opportunities. This will include:
- Promotion participation and support to National EE events at RAF Halton Cranwell and Boulmer.
- Creation and exploitation of employer engagement opportunities including ACPV regional events and supporting RSW events.
- HR management of 13 x AREEOs regarding pay CofE and onboarding.
You will work with SO1 Employer Engagement to deliver high quality briefings and updates when required to the Reserve and Employer community including HACs and Sqn Cdr conferences as well as regional employer briefings through the RFCAs when AREEOs are unable to support. Duties will include:
- Participation at Regional Employer Engagement Boards Groups Advisory Boards and AGMs (representing preparing briefing and follow up where AREEOs are unavailable).
- Supporting EE events on stations in support of the Regional AREEO where required.
- Promoting and supporting regional Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) activity assisting with Silver Selection Boards and participation at ERS award ceremonies.
- Working with RF&C at MOD through SO1 EE to advise and guide on sS EE issues and be part of any working gps.
- Supporting tS employer engagement events throughout the 13 regions.
- Management of the annual Employer Notification (EN) process.
