Whats the role about

We are looking for GKN colleagues who have experience in a specialist role already who are ready to take the next step in their career with increased responsibility in their role.

What youll do

Along with the standard AR Specialist role (details below) youll have an additional project management focus to identify continuous improvement initiatives you will be leading on new processes understanding the risk and working on how best to implement the changes smoothly. This involves a deeper understanding of upstream and downstream tasks and will be a critical role in the team broadening your knowledge for further career steps.

General tasks:

Process the cash remittances application (cash allocation) on a daily basis.
Preparation of reports that detail balances due or what to collect from customers at a certain point in time
Support the AR aging analysis with operational information examining balance statements of accountholders.
Prepare credit / collection reports
Work closely with other Finance teams such as the GL team in the provision of support to colleagues.
Ensure feedback to line manager.
Execution of month-end task of assigned market: AR reconciliations reports ageing booking of AR entries/documents etc.
Propose changes to processes continuous improvement mindset
Participation and lead when required on Team projects

Skills and experience to set you up for success in this role:

Good knowledge of customer billing concepts and O2C processes
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
Good analytical skills and detail orientated
Ability to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
Knowledge of ERP systems processes and workflow technology
