Job Summary
Job Title: Quality Engineer
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the Quality Assurance of Motors and Gear Boxes Position is responsible to actively drive quality assurance processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Here are your key responsibilities:
Overall responsibility In-process & Final & customer quality of the parts manufactured.
Analysis of customer complaints and corrective action reports
Interaction with international customers on quality issues
Preparation of Quality plans
Decide on the inspection and testing parameters
Quality improvement through 7QC and SPC tools
Continuous focus on problem solving and improving process controls.
Plan and implement process audits.
Training engineers and operators on Quality Systems
Functional Competencies
Ability to understand drawings and formulate inspection methodology.
Sound knowledge of FMEA techniques 7 QC tools SPC MSA 8D method
Problem solving through Six sigma methodology add on
Implementing error-proofing techniques- Poka-yoke
ISO:9001 Awareness
Education and Experiences Requirements
B.E. in Mechanical/Production with approx. 5-6 years of experience
From manufacturing machining preferably from industry making electro mechanical components.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Heads of Operations Manufacturing R&D Supply chain Planning etc.
External: Customers Sales and marketing
Personal Trait / Profile
Work behaviors: Demonstrated the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Leadership: Offers constructive ideas and suggestions for team building and process development.
Setting and Meeting commitments: Estimates for own commitments and influences establishment of schedules and work assignments in a team environment.
Language Skills
Fluency in Verbal and written communication
